OUR COMMITMENT

“There are many things I enjoy about this industry. But I especially enjoy getting to work with people.”

“My main goal is knowing I’ve helped a customer by providing quality service and reducing the risk of a chimney fire. The technical side of the industry is particularly appealing. There are many factors people may not know or take into consideration to ensure a chimney or venting system is working correctly. I enjoy getting into those technical details and continually learning new things through hands-on training and certification. It’s also hard to beat the views from a chimney or rooftop. You get a new perspective on what’s below and may see something you never noticed from the ground.”

David Creason, THE FIRE PLACE Louisville

WHY CHOOSE US?

Why choose a CSIA professional?

We are certified by the National Fireplace Institute and the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). Our technicians follow the standards and codes set forth by the CSIA and stay up to date on the latest processes of constructing and maintaining chimneys and venting systems.

Hiring a CSIA professional means you have peace of mind your technician is experienced, qualified, and knowledgeable. So, if you have high standards for the chimney pros coming into your home, we understand. We have high standards, too.

Passion

Technicians from The FIRE PLACE hold certifications from the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) and the National Fireplace Institute (NFI). We have a passion for the hearth industry and providing customers with top-notch service at fair and reasonable prices.

Code of Ethics

The chimney industry is continually evolving, and CSIA certified sweeps and NFI Specialists are required to attain continuing education credits or re-certify every three years. Certified Sweeps also agree to follow a strict code of ethics, available on the CSIA website.

Nonprofit

The CSIA is responsible for certifying and ensuring sweeps are up to date on the latest standards and codes. A nonprofit organization, they are governed by a volunteer board of directors dedicated to the education, training, and certification of chimney and industry-related professionals.
